LOCATION: The Naval Live Oaks Reservation is located just east of Gulf Breeze on U.S. Highway 98.
ACTIVITIES: Activities include camping, fishing, hiking (five short hiking trails), picnicking and swimming.
FACILITIES: The group campsite has full bathroom facilities including showers. There is a covered lighted pavilion with electrical outlets and charcoal grills.
FEES: Fees are based on the group size and the length of stay. For groups of 10 through 25 persons, the fee is $15.00 per day (or night). For groups of 26 through 50 persons, the fee is $25.00 per day (or night). Reservations are on a first come, first served basis. Reservations for each calendar year will not be taken prior to January 1 of that year.
SITE: The Naval Live Oaks Area is located on a peninsula, bordered by Santa Rosa Sound on the South and by Pensacola Bay on the North. Naval Live Oaks Area mainland forest is made up of several distinctive plant associations. Live oaks draped with Spanish moss; southern magnolias; hickories; and eastern red cedars typify the life oak hammock community which is found along the coastal fringe.
