LOCATION: Hurricane Lake is located 8 miles west of Blackman off State Forest Road 30, west of Kennedy Bridge and the Blackwater River. Blackman is located north of Baker on Highway 189. It would be advisable to obtain a map from the Forestry Service at the above address.
ACTIVITIES: Activities include camping, fishing, canoeing, picnicking and swimming.
FACILITIES: Included at this site are running water, flush toilets, picnic tables and dressing room. There is a nice youth camping area on the north side that can be reserved. You must stop at the headquarter in Munson to pay your fee and pick up the permit (make sure that you get the combo to the gate to the youth area).
FEES: There is a camping fee for the youth area, $1.00 per person per day with a $10.00 minimum, with groups of over 25 needing to arrange for adequate portable toilet facilities (max group size is 50).
