LOCATION: Located in the central panhandle, the park is on S.R. 12, 13 miles north of Bristol.

ACTIVITIES: The park offers camping, primitive camping, picnicking, nature study and hiking on a seven-mile loop trail. Tours are conducted through the historic Gregory House which was built in 1849 and relocated to the park in 1935.

FACILITIES: A youth camping area is available. Contact the park for fees and restrictions.

FEES: Camping fees from June 1 to December 31 are $8 per day per site plus $.50 per day for each extra person. From January 1 to May 31, fees are $17 per day per site plus $.50 per day for each extra person.

SITE: The high bluffs along the Apalachicola River are a rare site in Florida and that's what makes Torreya State Park special. The park is named for a rare species of Torreya tree that only grows along the Apalachicola River bluffs. The rare yew tree, the U.S. champion-winged elm and many other threatened or endangered rare plants are found in the park.
