LOCATION: Gold Head Branch State Park is located six miles northeast of Keystone Heights on State Road 21. Keystone Heights is located about 30 miles southwest of Jacksonville, Florida.

ACTIVITIES: Activities include camping, swimming, boating, canoeing, fishing and hiking.

FACILITIES: Included in the list of facilities are lakefront cabins. A youth camping area is available and canoe rental is available. Contact the park for fees and restrictions. The state park needs Scouts to help with a variety of projects in the park. In return for their work, Scouts can receive Scout Service patches, Scout unit service patches, scout service ribbons and free camping. Please contact the ranger on these opportunities.

FEES: 

SITE: The park is located on the rolling "sand hills", in an area known as the central ridge of Florida. These sand hills are remnants of ancient sand dunes formed during the rising and lowering of sea levels.
