LOCATION: Dead Lakes State Recreation Area is located one mile north of Wewahitchka, off State Road 71.
ACTIVITIES: Activities include fishing, boating, camping and nature study.
FACILITIES: A boat ramp is available.
FEES: Fees are $8 per day per site plus $.50 per day for extra persons.
SITE: An excellent area for freshwater fishing, the area includes fox, cotton rats, raccoon, opossum, deer, rabbits, skunks, beavers, turtles, snakes and alligators.
