Chalmette Historic Trail

Length of trail: The trail is 16.4 miles.
Time to complete: At least 7 hours.
Description: The trail hike is along the Mississippi River, hiking on top of the levy, ending at Chalmette Park. The scenery varies little, however, several old plantations can be seen along the river.
Activities: Chalmette Park is the historical site, where the Battle of New Orleans was waged. A patch and medal are available for this trail.
