Stone Mountain Historical Trail
 

Length of the trail: 8 miles
Time to complete trail: 4 1/2 - 5 hours
Description: This trail goes up and around Stone Mountain. The trail around the base of the mountain the same trail that Cherokee Indians used in years past. A trail patch and medal can be earned by going on this trail for the first time while a repeat hiker patch can be earned for repeaters.
Activities: In addition to camping in the Stone Mountain Camping Area, one can go to the ice skating rink, see the laser light show, have a picnic, go fishing, go swimming, go on a nature trail, go in museums, go on canoes and paddle boats, go golfing, go putt putt golfing, play tennis, go to the batting cages, go to the petting zoo, go on a sky lift cable car, play softball, and/or go on a scenic train ride.
