LOCATION: Just off I-65, north of Warrior at Exit 284.
ATTRACTIONS: Rickwood Caverns is the only operational caving park in the entire Alabama State Park System. The underground "miracle mile" is composed of magnificent passages and beautifully lighted rooms accented with thousands of sparkling white limestone formations. Many formations in the caverns are still considered "living formations." Bring cameras - great opportunities for photos in the caves and in the park. Don't miss the 2,000 year-old artifact display. The park is open from 10am - 5pm, as follows: March through May 28 - Weekends only Memorial Day through Labor Day - Every day September through October - Weekends only November through February - Cave Closed
COSTS: CAVE ADMISSION: Adults 12 and over $7.50 Children 6 through 11 $3.50 Special groups of 20 or more can be arranged for by appointment, year-round, at the office.
CAMPING FEES: $12.60 per night for up to 4 people.
SWIMMING POOL: $2.50 per person per day. (10am to 5:45pm)
FACILITIES: Tent and RV sites.. Facilities include restrooms, showers, dump station, electric and water hookups. Picnic area complete with tables, grills, shelters, and plenty of shade. Olympic size swimming pool open daily during the summer season. Miniature train ride, game machines, snack bar, and hiking trails available.
