LOCATION: Located 40 miles south of Knoxville, 60 miles north of Chattanooga off Interstate 75. Take Exit #60 and travel 6 miles on Highway 68, Lost Sea Pike, to Lost Sea.
ATTRACTIONS: Tours are guided by trained personnel and last approximately one hour. The lake, covering 4 1/2 acres, is recognized by the U.S. Department of Interior as a Registered Natural Landmark. Lost Sea also has a large collection of rare anthodites, more commonly known as "cave flowers". The caverns are open year around except Christmas Day from 9:00 A.M. until dusk. Lost Sea Adventure (overnighter - 13 hours underground) available. A day spelunking tour is available upon request.
COSTS: Individual Rates: Adults, $10.00; Children (6-12), $5.00. Net Group Rates (Apply to groups of 20 or more. Reservations requested. Complimentary admission to bus driver and tour escort.) Adults, $4.75; Children (through 12), $2.50. Lost Sea Adventure (overnighter) $9.50 per person (includes regular tour, boat ride, and spelunking tour). Supper and Breakfast $2.75 each. FACILITIES: Authentic log cabins from another century, offering the General Store, Ice Cream Parlor, Trading Post, and Glassblower. The cafe, the Cavern Kitchen, offers sandwiches and real pit barbecue to hungry visitors. Ample picnic facilities and a nature trail are also available. Shops in the Lost City may be open on a seasonal basis. A group menu is available. Reservations are required.
