LOCATION: Lake Guntersville State Park is located six miles northeast of Guntersville, Alabama, off Highway 227.
ACTIVITIES: Activities include camping, picnicking, motorized boating, fishing, golf, tennis, swimming, and hiking.
FACILITIES: The state park offers 322 modern campsites with hookups, primitive campsites, picnic areas, boat launch, hiking trails, and a playground facility. The park's 15 hiking trails make for 30 miles of hiking. FEES: Call the park for fees.
SITE: Guntersville State Park ranges over 5,909 acres of ridge tops and meadows. The park's resort is located on Little Mountain, providing a magnificent view of Guntersville Reservoir. The lake is abundant with fish as well as swimming and other water sports activities. The park has recently become the winter home of the Bald Eagle, our national symbol.
