LOCATION: Chewacla State Park is located 4 miles south of Auburn, Alabama, convenient to Interstate 85.

ACTIVITIES: Primitive camping, 36 improved campsites with facilities, picnicking, non-motorized boating, tennis, swimming, hiking, and fishing. The Wet & Wild Triathlon is held in May, and the Banana Man Biathlon is held in September.

FACILITIES: 26-acre lake, rental boats available. Other facilities include tennis courts and playground. There are 6 hiking trails in the park comprising 5 miles.

FEES: Call the park for fees.

SITE: Chewacla State Park consists of 696 scenic acres and is a wonderful stop for road-weary tourists. Come, relax, and enjoy the diverse environment that "once was in the ocean."
